Low Back Bootcamp In The Lavender

Lower backs often need extra care. The way we move—not only how much we move our bodies but how we move them—is often the primary reason for aches and other repetitive injuries in this area.
These fun outdoor classes use precise form to mobilize and deeply strengthen all the parts that affect the lower back (abdominals, pelvis, hamstrings, shoulders) using a variety of positions: lying down, hands and knees, standing, and sitting. You will not only exercise this area in a way that specifically supports the spine, you will learn how to move during non-exercise time in a way that helps your torso getting stronger and stronger. Take one class or take them all!

ONLINE EVENT: Sustainable Plank: How to adjust (and modify) this popular move to make it a more nutritious movement for your body

"Planks" are found in many different exercise practices but they're often performed in a way that can be hard on the wrists, elbows, shoulders, and lower back. They’re not as effective as they could be! In this class Katy Bowman will break down the biomechanics of this popular move part-by-part, so planks make these areas stronger and capable of handling more movement in the future. You'll learn how to make tiny adjustments from head to toe that make this movement and other similar mat-based movements better for you. You’ll also learn numerous exercises that support a 'daily plank practice," as well as how many plank-exercise parts can show up in everyday life. Instructor: Katy Bowman
