Grow Wild Launch: A Book Walk for Adults and Kids at Finnriver Farm and Cidery
Chimacum, WA
Katy Bowman’s newest book about the essentialness of movement just can’t be celebrated sitting down! Her first book for parents, Grow Wild: The Whole Child, Whole Family, Nature-Rich Guide to Moving More is over 400 pages with over 200 full-color photos. On Sunday, May 16th, it will also be one mile long! We’re bringing her new book to life in the form of a one-day, dynamic celebration: the first ever “book walk” designed for adults and kids alike. The pages of Grow Wild will be spread out over the gorgeous Finnriver Farm & Cidery in Chimicum, WA to be walked, and read, from 12:00PM – 5:00PM. Admission is free but registration is necessary. Katy will be on hand for photos, questions and booksigning. A Grow Wild-based scavenger hunt will keep children engaged along the way. All are welcome to bring a blanket and spread out in the ample space of the farm.

Dynamic Aging: Simple Exercises to Restore Strength and Build Confident Movement
OMEGA INSTITUTE, RHINEBECK NY
What if changing how you move could improve how you feel, no matter your age? Challenge the myths of aging and invest in your wellness by learning how to care for your body—feet, ankles, knees, hips, back, shoulders, pelvic floor, brain, and all the rest—in a whole-body, whole-life way. Join Katy Bowman and your peers to explore how to move in ways that use all parts of your body, discover how nature can enhance your movement experience, and learn a wide variety of non-exercise movement you can introduce into your everyday life to keep your body robust as you age. As you get rid of old habits and patterns and bring more movement into your life, it’s possible to look, move, and feel younger than you did a decade ago.
Find a Teacher Close to You
There are program graduates we’ve certified in our corrective exercises all over the world who are available to work with you. Getting hands-on instruction is great and oftentimes they can connect you to other movers in your area. Or if there’s no one super-close, someone nearby might also offer Skype sessions—just look for this symbol:
