This week I'm in Phoenix, Arizona, (at Kinesphere studio, soon-to-be-home of eight Restorative Exercise Specialists!) where it is 105° degrees. We are currently at a Restorative Exercise Specialist™ training week where the entire teaching staff (7 adult alignerds and 2 offspring) is sharing a house.
This is a picture of our week's schedule, hanging on the fridge.
This is a picture of the contents of the fridge.
This is a picture of what I am eating today. Because it is delicious and because I can't imagine eating anything other than cold food when it is this hot.
This dish is called Cowboy Caviar.
If you partake of legumes every now and then, here's the recipe: Combine three types of beans -- garbanzo, white and black -- with chopped tomatoes, fresh corn, cilantro, green onions, avocado, and 87 minced garlic cloves. Or less garlic, depending. Squeeze a few limes and mix with olive oil and a bunch of cumin. Toss it all up and eat on salad, grilled meat or fish, or scoop up with chips or cucumber slices.
Sorry to be brief, but it's too freakin' hot to type anything else. Please enjoy this vlog on how to assess your plank for muscle or ligament loads.
P.S. You can apply this to your Down Dog, hand stands or any time your arms are weight-bearing!
P.P.S. If this weather keeps up, my next post will be from the pool!
