My latest book My Perfect Movement Plan is a workbook that helps you figure out your movement diet. To learn more about what that is and how to use the workbook to balance your movement diet, watch a video of the launch party workshop earlier this year!
While I don’t ship out most of the orders from this website, I’ve always loved the bustle that comes with shipping out a new book’s pre-orders (usually a few thousand copies).
Packing book pre-orders is a lot of work, but every time we do it, it’s one of my favorite weeks of movement. Here’s how book-packing movement macros break down:
Big-Body Work: Unloading and stacking book boxes from pallets, moving boxes again to envelope packers.
Making Movements: Repetitive grabbing of books and envelopes to stuff a few thousand times leave hands and fingers fatigued at the end of the day.
Carrying: Carrying boxes of book orders to the car and then into the post office.
Active Rest Positioning: Stuffing envelopes takes days full of standing work, ground sitting and squatting in different positions. There are also heaps of get up/get down movements (when you need another box of envelopes or books).
